PED	Payment Entry Device	Usually a small hand held device used to scan credit cards and perform limited data entry required for sales.

POS	Point Of Sale	Basically a specialty purpose computer dedicated to one business function. In implementation terms the end user is locked out of all PC functionality with the exception of the POS application.
RCA	Root Cause Analysis	Analysis of a problem and described in detail to others. May be used to solve similar problems in the future.
SSO	Single SignOn	A strategy to log in one time and pass the authorized user to other systems transparently for the. Without SSO multiple logins would be required.
